jags or alleyn's

Of course, difficult to know at age four where a child will be academically. jags gets more into oxbridge. I like JAGS but wouldnt send my child to a single sex school so Alleyns. Assuming your looking for a 4-18 straight through, it's worth thinking about senior school differences between JAGS and Alleyn's. I know Jags and Alleyns do prepare for the 11+ for some extent but I thought part of the appeal was that they dont have to focus on it quite so much as the children either have a guaranteed place (Alleyns) or just need to pass the exam (Jags) rather than coming in the top tranche? I know many private schools have changed radically over last 5-15 years. But maybe thats just one persons opinion. I went to Alleyns, though not the junior school.
